Modular – The Grower 17″

This is my second metal raised bed but the first modular one and I’m impressed. The Oro Garden 17" Grower gives you real flexibility. I chose a square for herbs and it fits my tiny backyard corner perfectly. Assembly was simple – maybe 30 minutes. The steel feels quality and the rolled edges are smooth. Height is comfortable for daily gardening. Open bottom helps with drainage in our rainy area. Support poles are useful for climbers. The only downside was peeling all the film but that’s minor. Plants are doing great and the bed looks clean and modern. Would definitely recommend to friends.

The included wrench and screwdriver worked fine but I finished faster with my drill. The protective plastic film was the most annoying part but at least it kept everything looking new during shipping. Once I added soil the beds felt rock solid thanks to the support struts. The 17" height is comfortable for hours of gardening and the open bottom means great drainage and deeper root growth. I planted a mix of vegetables and the support poles are already holding up my climbing beans beautifully. After three weeks everything is thriving and I haven’t seen a single sign of rust even after a heavy rain. My only very minor complaint is that the instructions could have one extra diagram but honestly it wasn’t hard to figure out.
